Wear it Out 4 ways: Flares!! They're BACK!
That's right you read correctly. The Flare style pant is no longer a #Throwback. They are back in full force and believe me when I say you will be seeing them everywhere this season. I for one, could not be more thrilled. I've never been the one to feel comfortable in skinny cut pants, so when White House Black Market (my favorite clothing store ever, by the way!) came out with their black skinny flares, I bought them with a quickness. However, I've noticed a lot of you were not as fast to jump on the flare leg band wagon.. Allow me to persuade you otherwise. Here are 4 different ways to rock the flare:
Wearing: Skinny Flares- White House Black Market. Necklace- Stella & Dot Sutton Necklace. Top: J Brand Vest: Vintage, unknown brand. Shoes: Kelly&Katie DSW
Dressy/Casual: Edgy meets Classic
Flares balance out a lot of different body types while still keeping that great, curvy hourglass figure. I loved the look the classic black and white stripes gave this edgy, faded suede vest. Though still a cute outfit without the vest, I really liked the slight rocker/musician vibe it gave off. Especially with my blue suede shoes. Be careful not to step on them, please.

Business/Fun Casual
Flares with a favorite blouse. I absolutely love the versatility of this outfit! Night on the town, date night, work, this look works for all 3. The top is Anne Klein and I found it while thrifting! Goodwill is an excellent example of where to find some great pieces. It was a little big, so I had it altered. Totally worth the investment. It's now one of my favorites. Moral of the story? Don't give up on a piece you love just because it doesn't fit. I also got to wear those blue suede heels again. BOOM.

Casual: The 70's vibe
Are we in 2015 or 1975? By looking at today's retail store, it can be hard to tell. I absolutely loved the fashion from this decade, so I've been in hog heaven. Luckily, In 2015, we have lots of different options when it comes to the style of our flares. They don't have to be a ginormous bell bottoms! These "Skinny" Flares hug my leg tight till right below the knee and then flare out to a perfectly sized opening. The fabric of these pants also lend themselves easily to dressy or casual! A Flair for the Dramatic
Making a statement: Talk about making an entrance. Fringe, Flares, Fabulous. Fringe is all the rage right now, but it's a style I've always loved and will wear long after it's "trending". This fringed, Aztec patterned poncho with the Natalie Statement necklace and bright blue heels could never be deemed boring. Plus, people have been looking at skinny pants for so long, you are sure to create buzz in a pair of flares with a statement top and necklace. Can you say Va-Voom? !
Until next time,
Wear it out!
